The Zephinie Evacuation Chute Multiple Entry ZEC-ME

MULTIPLE ACCESSES EVACUATION IN NEW BUILDING OR RETROFITTED IN EXISTING BUILDING:

Evacuation takes place inside the building. The chute is permanently available at each level. In accordance with regulations in force, it is encased in a two hours fire-resistant structure.
The installation may be fitted to all types of buildings where several levels have to be simultaneously evacuated: Hotels, hospitals, office buildings, department stores, etc....

 



THE ZEC SAVES LIVES AND ALSO SAVES USEFUL AREAS.

A ZEC's installation immobilizes a minimum of useful area.

A ZEC unit occupies only 12 sq./ft of floor space.

Installing  a ZEC will entail only a minimum of work on the building.

This can be done either inside or outside any existing building, without jeopardizing the aesthetics of the latter.  

The ZEC doesn't rely only upon its fire resistant components, but utilizes the most sophisticated heat convection shielding available, including casing and water cooling systems.

French dire colonel J. Husson's  wet cloth protection effect allows the ZEC to keep working in the event that an entrance door would let in over heated air/gas penetrating the ZEC-Module, kipped active the ZEC even in over 1000 C environment.
 
The Husson wet protection use approximately only 20liters/m2/minute giving a redundant 2 hours protection withstanding eventually flame contact.

The Husson-Zephinie wet protection also assure a not negligible degree of toxic aerosol of poisonous gases protection acting like a water washed industrial filter.

For not specific anti-terrorist prevention:

ZEC can be included in fire escape enclosed stairways at the initial design stage of the building's construction focusing the evacuation of the handicapped population.
However the best installation strategy remain the escape route diversification independent of normal stairways.
The low cost allows eventually dual protection.

The fire proof two hours standard  modular ZEC-ME-EX can be retrofitted in any king of buildings 

The minimum fire proof two hours standard ZEC-ME-EX modules are covered of reflective surfaces to minimize esthetic impact on glass wall buildings.

The system never need to reach the ground,  the two or three last
stories use a ZEC-SE chute. That offer a non intrusive guarantee and non obstruction of the street  public area   

A 3.00 m X 1.00 m (10ft X 3ft) exterior structure can eventually include
up 5 ZEC-ME unites allowing   9,000<18,000 evacuations/hour

Installation Flexibility :
The ZEC-Multi-Entry (ZEC-ME) system only can be shows by graphic image for a better understanding.
The ZEC-ME can be eventually installed associated with the stairways, and/or disseminated strategically inside and outside in fixed structures to building .
The very small area occupied by the ZEC-ME offers the unique advantage of Strategic Dissemination of escape routes located in  the periphery of the building to compensate the eventual neutralization of the main exit like the have occurred in the WTC   

The standard  installation is based on International fire code minimum two hours protectionand easy increased to four hours if necessary.

Non- ambulatory and handicapped peoples

The system offers the possibility to evacuate non- ambulatory and
handicapped peoples at the same average speed than the global population.

A rescuer with the most elementary know how can carry a unconscious person heavier than himself with a minimum of effort.
The system require a extreme minimum of physical effort, the position of descent is a sitting like position

The system can works even smoky condition forbidding to use of stairways.
The system can works even case of emergency lighting failure
The system allows practically a double capacity than the 25<30 evacuation per minute given as normal cadence of evacuation obtained in drill situation.
90 teenagers evacuation per minute as been obtained trough particular methods of training and assisted ground reception.
