Historic Archive Press #893 California May 5/1982 Californians' Support to the ZEC   California Fire Authorities and the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Red Cross had fairly supported morally Zephinie to not give up the ZEC project in the USA. Zephinie had not capital to establish personally the business in California. To find Venture partners or to license the US patents to a West Cost company was the only solution. Prestigious companies such as Martin Marrieta and Signal Corp., among others, reviewed in deep the project. All positively interested companies will finally consider that the incomprehensible Censure in the USA of a product obvious good enough to be Marketed by UTC-Otis in Europe and the NY opposition, were " scaring off factors for the investor "        Zephinie asked to the Public Relation Director of Los Angeles Chapter of the American Red Cross  to convince the New York Chapter of the American Red Cross to do the same. The offer was turned down by NY ARC .           May 4th 1982 the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Red Cross  and several local Fire Departments supported a public demonstration of the ZEC  at the occasion of the Earthquake Planning Conference in the Century Plaza Hotel The very successful demonstration was reported by the local TV Evening News and the Los Angeles Times (LA Times May 5/1982 Part# 1/3)    Californian Fire Departments including:  El Secundo, L. A.
